Brit has been a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for nearly 15 years and is enthusiastic, compassionate, and inquisitive. Originally from Wisconsin, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Stout with a dual Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and vocational evaluation, and from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire with a Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology/occupational therapy. In addition to being a Counselor and Evaluator, Brit is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Vermont where she teaches Counseling for Career and Lifestyle Development. Brit is the President of Kids’ Chance of Vermont, a non-profit that provides scholarships to students whose parents have experienced a work place injury. She also has a passion for adaptive sports and enjoys collaborating with Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports and Green Mountain Adaptive.

Brit comes from a long line of dairy farmers, allowing her to observe vocation as a lifestyle, and to develop a deep appreciation for the outdoors and changing seasons. She understands the rippling disruption that comes from being out of work and losing that sense of identity, routine, community, and productivity. Brit is passionate about helping injured workers reach their vocational goals and return to meaningful employment. She loves the intersections of counseling, physical and mental strength and stamina, economy and labor market, and lifestyle values and career development.

Brit lives in Weybridge, Vermont with her family and can often be found with her two boys and their dog, Maple, playing in the dirt, chasing the snow, skiing and biking.
